Zittau: Roll wagons to the mountains
For years we have been a regular guest with our photo trains on the tracks of the Zittau narrow-gauge railways.
Also in 2020 we will be on the road with various steam-covered freight trains on the Zittau network. But this is only possible in the low season, when there are still enough tracks available for our photo trains and we have plenty of time for photo stops and sham journeys.
Every 3 days we offer a narrow gauge steam program of the finest, as you are used to from Tanago. For this action we bring again the GR passenger car from the Döllnitzbahn to Zittau, in the reconditioning of the roll wagon train we already participated in 2019 and also in the year 2020 a large part of our incomes flows again into the financing of this project. All participants ride in the train, on the transfer routes we "decorate" our train with orange warning vests.
Friday and Saturday morning we start the day very early, with a GR passenger train and sunrise pictures. Then we drive a freight train with four loaded roll wagons, a narrow-gauge freight car, a GR passenger car and a DR luggage car. On Friday our steam loco is a VII K, signposted in epoch IV. If enough participants come together, we bring the second VII K already on Friday afternoon into play. On Saturday two VII Ks, signposted in epoch IV, cover our rolling carriage train into the mountains. In the late afternoon we plan loading scenes at the roll wagon loading facility in Zittau. Sunday we start a little later, then with a freight train consisting of 3 narrow-gauge freight cars, the GR passenger and luggage car. Of course we bring on all days still some road vehicles along the distance also into the "play".

Our event begins on Friday morning with a class VII K steam locomotive, our 4-part rolling stock train, a narrow-gauge freight car, a DR passenger car, and the DR baggage car. After the sunrise pictures and breakfast in Bertsdorf station we commute with different train sets up to Oybin and Jonsdorf. In the evening we offer night shots with our freight train in the station suburb, illuminated with our professional light equipment.
On Saturday our roll wagon train is pulled by two machines of the Class VII K series. We will start again very early with sunrise pictures. After that we have our train commuted several times in the lower section between Zittau and Bertsdorf before we organize loading scenes at the roll wagen facility in Zittau.
Sunday we inevitably start a little later. Today our steam locomotive pulls a train consisting of 3 narrow gauge freight cars, the GR passenger car and the GR luggage car.
We inscribe all vehicles according to the GR Era IV, except the GRG engine, which we leave in Era II inscription.
