Germany: Selketal – Winter steam
Selketal: Winter steam in the 1970s
Several times already our photo trips led us into the Harz mountains and the wild and romantic Selketal. Also in winter 2021 we want to travel on two days with 99 6001 with computer number, two seat- and one seat-packing car from the tradions train, as well as a freight car with GR lettering, the most beautiful photo locations on the Selketalbahn, to take impressive photos of the steam operation in the style of the "1970s".
We ride along with all participants in the train and decorate the locomotives and cars with orange high-visibility vests to protect the honest customers on the transfer routes.

The tour program:
Friday, February 5, 2021: In the morning we "romp" on the section Gernrode-Alexisbad, then lunch break in Gernrode. Afterwards back to the mountains, among other things with the motif "Heiligenteich". Then on to Alexisbad (taking water) and then the motifs between Alexisbad and Straßberg. From there back and the night shots in Gernrode.
Saturday, February 6, 2021: Until noon we work off the missing motifs on the section Gernrode-Alexisbad and then continue to Stiege. We will mainly choose the places that are only poorly or not at all accessible from the road. Finally, we will watch the sunset on the Harz plateau (cimney first, which is not possible with the planned trains) and if necessary take some more pictures in Hasselfelde, because the locomotive has to take water here for the return trip to Gernrode.
The detailed tour program will be sent to the booked customers 4 - 6 weeks before the tour starts.

Even though we and the HSB have worked out a very precise schedule with exact locomotive and car position, we cannot give any guarantee for a particular locomotive due to the use of the 99.72 in scheduled service. Likewise, the freight and passenger cars can break down at any time and must be replaced. We will try to implement our plan as best we can, but there is no claim to this.
In order to protect the interests of the depositors during our event, we will decorate our locomotives on the non-photographic sections with high-visibility vests. Only with the financial participation of honest photographers and videographers such events can be realized.
