Germany: Sauschwänzlebahn – Bundesbahn steam
The "Sauschwänzlebahn" runs from Blumberg-Zollhaus to Weizen over four bridges and through six tunnels on 25 km of track. The longest tunnel, the large stockpile, is what gives the "Sauschwänzlebahn" its name: The route in the tunnel is reminiscent of a curled pig tail. The Wutachtalbahn is one of the most spectacular museum railways of all. Built in 1890 for strategic military considerations, the line was named one of the historic landmarks of civil engineering in Germany in 2014.
Already in October 2019, the Wutachtalbahn was already steaming. 50 2988 (1942 WFL) covered several photo trains in the style of the DB, consisting of 3- and 4-axle conversion cars plus baggage cars, as well as differently composed GmPs for us. This time the 64 419 of the DBK with its Bundesbahn freight train is added. With this "material" we drive different Gmp with both locomotives in authentic DB lettering.
